PERFECT!
“Luxurious” is the best word to describe this town house! Kim was so easy to work with and answered all my questions promptly. The home is a very short walk to town. We had five women stay for a night and we were very comfortable! We especially enjoyed the patio area. Having coffee, shampoo & conditioner included was an extra special touch. We will definitely be back and looking forward to staying here again.
THE TOWNHOUSE IS GORGEOUS AND RICH OF BARDSTOWN HISTORY!!
Kim was amazing and very easy to work with! The house was clean, decorated perfectly and right in town! Really can’t say enough about this property. We will definitely be back! My husband never has much to say but even he was walking around saying it was gorgeous and just perfect! Thank you Kim for everything and making our anniversary getaway just perfect!!!!
GREAT STAY!
Our family of 4 stayed here for 6 nights and we had wonderful stay. My youngest boy had a baseball tournament in Elizabethtown during the week so we stayed here instead of a hotel near the ball fields. It turned out we made the right decision. The house is absolutely beautiful and decorated very nicely. The beds were extremely comfortable and felt great after a long, hot day at the fields.
The property is within a short walk of downtown which provides a couple nice places to eat as well as an ice cream shop. You are right in the middle of bourbon country as there are a two distilleries near by (Barton about 3 minutes away and Makers Mark about 20).
Our family has rented many places throughout the world and we would highly recommend this house.
SMALL TOWN BIG FUN
This property is very, very comfortable and clean. Its setting is perfect for early neighborhood walks and evening strolls to dinner and entertainment. We’ve stayed here twice now and will most definitely return in the future. Excellent location to explore Bourbon Country and for day trips to Louisville and Lexington. The property owners, Kim & Tiger, are very attentive to their guests’ needs.
WE HAD A GREAT STAY!
The Huston House is the perfect place to stay and walk all around town. Decorated beautifully with local history and memorabilia, and extremely well appointed! We especially enjoyed the courtyard when we wanted to relax and enjoy the gorgeous spring weather. Thank you for your hospitality and accommodations! We will be back again for sure!

Great location and clean, beautiful place to stay. We were celebrating an anniversary and the host even provided a ‘Happy Anniversary” card for us. The host’s attention to detail was excellent throughout the whole house. We would definitely stay again.
HOME AWAY FROM HOME WHEN VISITING THE BOURBON TRAIL IN BARDSTOWN, KY
From my first contact with Kim to reserve The Huston House until our group locked the door when we left, our stay was perfect. Kim answered emails quickly and offered recommendations, she even made sure there was decaf in the coffee bar for the one person in our group who drank it. That hospitality and attention to detail was noticeable as soon as we walked in the door. The decor is an elegant, rich blend of Kentucky bourbon and Kentucky Derby, yet comfortable and homey enough that kicking off our shoes and wrapping up in the soft throws felt right too. The house is centrally located in Bardstown so easily walkable to restaurants, galleries, shops, and museums. It’s also an easy drive to all points on the Bourbon Trail, golf courses and the Abbey of Gethsemane. The private garden area is lovely as well. It was by sheer luck we found The Huston House, but we’ll be going back by choice.
SWANKY PROPERTY IN THE HEART OF BOURBON COUNTRY
Beautiful property and perfect for a girls’ weekend. We loved everything about this property from the way it was decorated, to the location, to the way the towels smelled 🙂 We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Bardstown. Thanks for the hospitality and attention to detail, Kim!
LOVED THE HUSTON HOUSE AND BARDSTOWN
Three of us spent 3 nights at the Huston House and it could not have been better. The house is beautiful, very comfortable and has all the amenities you could need. The location is perfect for walking around town or doing the bourbon trail. The owner, Kim, has great communication and was very responsive. We would highly recommend this house.
LUXURIOUS 2BR/2 BATH RENTAL IN DOWNTOWN BARDSTOWN, THE HEART OF BOURBON COUNTRY
Beautiful two bedroom townhouse !! I stayed at The Huston House with my parents and husband. We were looking for a nice two bedroom place that was centrally located to The Bourbon Trail. This was ideal for our vacation. It is within walking distance to downtown Bardstown, and we enjoyed the cute boutique shops, nice restaurants, and of course the local bakery. It was easy to get around The Bourbon Trail from this location. Kim did an excellent job of taking care of us. Every amenity that you would have at your own home was provided. In our downtime, my husband enjoyed reading all the books on Bourbon that were provided and my father enjoyed watching Netflix. If you’re planning a trip to The Bourbon Trail, or if you just want to getaway to a cute southern town, I highly recommend The Huston House!
WONDERFUL, CLEAN AND GREAT LOCATION
The house was well kept inside and out. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was just right to make your stay the best possible. Highly recommend this place to anyone. It is walking distance to downtown and a short drive to your favorite distillery.
A GREAT PLACE
Our stay at the Huston House was perfect. Everything we needed was provided. It was comfortable and within walking distance to the downtown area. We came to Bardstown with friends to visit the Bourbon Trail. The owners were easy to work with and very accommodating. We hope to be back!
AMAZING ACCOMMODATIONS
My husband and I were able to stay here the first weekend it was open. The owners have beautifully remodeled a 2BR, 2BA townhouse in the heart of Bardstown, KY. The accommodations are all first class with exquisite attention to detail. My favorite spot is the private courtyard with seating and fountain under huge magnolia trees. It is located within a 5-minute walk to many shops, restaurants, taverns and museums in this great town. For the price, you cannot find a better value. We will definitely be back!
TOP NOTCH AMENITIES
This is a great home, with the best location and top notch amenities with many personal touches. We enjoyed being able to walk into town and it was only a short drive to the many distilleries we visited. Kim has a keen eye for detail and we wanted for nothing. We were especially excited to have fresh mint for our weekend signature cocktail. We will definitely be back to Bardstown and The Huston House will be our first choice. Thanks for a great weekend.
PRETTY PRIVATE REFUGE IN A PERFECT LOCATION
We love the Huston House. This was our second visit. It’s a pretty home with a tiny gem of a side yard with great gas grill and even a fountain. The home is thoughtfully appointed and very pretty. It has a calm vibe that also somehow captures the essence of Kentucky charm and the bourbon heritage of Bardstown. We also appreciate the fact that the owners have thoughtfully provided a kitchen with good utensils, soft thick towels, and plenty of books to read and browse. Thank you to our hosts for making us feel what southern hospitality really is!
WONDERFUL!
Spent my birthday at Huston House and what a lovely place to celebrate. The house is beautifully decorated, has a luxurious bed, comfortable furniture, and is spotless. Only 2 blocks from town, with the park for festivals across the street, but still very quiet. Kim is a wonderful hostess, she’s thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. I’d stay no where else in Bardstown.
I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW GREAT OUR STAY WAS AT THE HUSTON HOUSE!
The thoughtful care for every detail in its decor and hospitality were obvious. It is a relaxed, cool place to stay while experiencing the Bourbon Trail or Bardstown area. The location is great, easy walking to downtown and restaurants. We particularly loved the little side private garden with its fountain and gas grill, luxury towels and bedding. Kim even provided us with mint in her garden and mint julep glasses!
RELAXING SMALL TOWN GETAWAY
My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Huston House in late October. What a treat! A wonderful place to relax in and short drive to many historical attractions & distilleries. Rooms in the house are nice size and full of all the very nice amenities a person would want. Many restaurants near by. Most a couple blocks away from the house. The bakery opens at 7 AM each morning which we walked 1 1/2 blocks to each morning. We ate at 3 different restaurants at night, all had wonderful food and friendly staff. Having the attached garage at the house for parking was a nice perk, as it rained much of our stay. I would highly recommend staying at the Huston House if coming the Bardstown. You will not be disappointed!
THE HOME WAS OUT OF A PAGE OF HOUSE BEAUTIFUL!
When we walked into this home we were amazed how beautiful the décor was! All the comforts of home were available including dishware, top of the line appliances etc. The linens and towels were wonderful and the owner was available at a moments notice. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place for our vacation stay. This was a 5 star plus!!!!
GREAT PLACE IN BARDSTOWN
This house is exceptionally nice and works very well for couples to enjoy Bardstown and the area. It is ideally located for making bourbon tours. Since it is right in town you can walk to stores and restaurants. The house has been totally updated, including a high-class kitchen, washer and dryer, and quality furnishings with comfortable beds. Parking is very convenient, and a useable garage is attached. The owner is very helpful and responsive and has added many extras throughout the house. We highly recommend this home.
AN EXCELLENT CHOICE
The decor is fabulous, the house extremely clean, the beds so comfortable! We were very pleased with this rental. We have stayed in many rentals and I’d have to say this was one of the nicest ever. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely home. We also loved Kim’s thoughts about places to go and things to see. She made it clear she was available to us if we had any need. Bardstown is a pretty little town and there is still much for us to discover. It is my hope to come back soon for another stay!
EVERTHING WAS PERFECT
This is the first time that we used HomeAway. It was just as perfect of an experience as could of been expected. This home exceeded any expectations. They thought of everything! This home was sooo comfortable! The beds/bedding is amazing! The location is perfect. There is only good things to say about this property. There were recommendations of places to visit while in town by the owners. So glad we had the experience. If/when we return to the Bardstown area, hopefully we can stay there again. Excellent time!
